How our kitchen design service works

Every project starts with your brief. You may need a complete kitchen layout, drawings of an agreed design or renders to show a client. We quote for the work you need.

1. Send us your brief

Share room measurements, plans or sketches, photographs and your ideas. Include cabinetry and appliance details, the drawings or views you need and your preferred deadline. If something is undecided, tell us.

2. Agree the scope and quotation

We review what you send, ask about any gaps and provide a project quotation. We agree the deliverables, revisions, file formats and timescale before work starts.

3. Review the design

We develop the layout or work from your supplied design, then prepare the agreed drawings and views for review. Send your feedback together so the next revision addresses the decisions you have made.

4. Receive your drawings and renders

Your agreed package can include dimensioned floor plans, wall and stepped elevations, and 3D renders. Tell us how the drawings will be used so we can agree the detail and file formats at the outset.

Questions before you send a brief

Can you design a kitchen, or just render my layout?

Both. We can develop a kitchen layout from your room information, prepare drawings of an agreed design, or create renders from a supplied project. Tell us which stage you have reached so we can quote for the right work.

What if I do not have final measurements?

Send the plans, sketches and photographs you have and identify anything that is approximate. We will discuss what can be prepared at that stage. Dimensions and technical details must be verified before furniture is ordered or installation begins.

How much will it cost, and how long will it take?

We quote against the brief rather than a fixed package. The room size, design detail, number of views and required drawings affect the work involved. Tell us your deadline; we confirm the price and timescale before starting.

Are revisions included?

Your quotation will set out the revisions included. Changes to finishes or individual cabinets can involve different work from a new layout. If your brief changes, we agree any additional work and cost with you first.

Which files will I receive?

We agree the drawing, image and presentation formats at the quotation stage. Tell us whether the files are for a homeowner discussion, client presentation or supplier review, and whether editable project files are required. Do not assume editable files are included unless agreed.

Can a retailer or cabinetmaker use the service?

Yes. Send the customer brief, cabinet specifications, finishes and the outputs you need. If you require your own branding or have restrictions on sharing project images, include those requirements so we can agree them before work starts.

Do I need to own Autokitchen?

No. We use Autokitchen professional kitchen design software to prepare the design and presentation. If you already use it, send your project and the version used so we can check the file.
